Hi Network,

This is a call out to encourage your support for local voluntary organisations!

These groups work hard to deliver important social programs but often struggle with limited funding, lack of essential skills, and resource constraints. They have passion, purpose and commitment in spades but this may not be enough.

I recently had the pleasure of facilitating a collaborative Strategy workshop for Electrify Boroondara working through Chloe Currie, a fantastic initiative promoting household electrification. It was a very rewarding experience. They save households up to $6,000 per year and help cut carbon emissions, contributing to Australia's climate goals.

As Electrify Boroondara says, "Electric homes are cheaper, safer, and better for the climate! Moving to electric appliances and cars will save every home money and significantly reduce household emissions."

Community organisations often face common challenges including:

- Limited funding

- Lack of governance and administrative systems

- Skills gaps (planning, sponsorships, legal, digital marketing, etc.)

- Volunteer management, and

- Resource constraints.

If you can, consider reaching out to local NFPs and offering your expertise. This can include:

- Guiding them towards growth.

- Training them in essential areas.

- Sharing your program delivery experience.

- Offering your professional help.

In times of resource constraints, there must be another way. Together, we can make a big difference in our communities by supporting these hardworking organisations.
